A number of small groups are functioning around the neigbourhood. Here's some of them:
Te Kauwhata
Craig & Jan Periam
Meets weekly, Tuesday Nights 7:30pm at Rob and Denise Arnolds home in the Waipuna Valley. This small group loves to open the evening with tea/coffee and some fresh home baking before diving into the word. Current members are young adults ranging from late 30s to early 50s.
Hamilton
Barry & Raewyn Mulder
Will be meeting weekly at a rotated venue once 'My Neighbours Are Weird' course is completed. Please contact Barry and Raewyn for more information.
Max & Lynda Pollard
Meets Weekly, Wednesday Night 7-9pm at Max and Lynda Pollards house. The Pollards group is a chocolate box assortment of people of different ages and from different walks of life. Their aim is to function as a family, with pastoral care and prayer an important part of the group. After a coffee and some home baking they sit down and catch up informally on each others' weeks before getting into studying the Word. They try to be real with themselves and each other as they seek to apply what they learn to their everyday lives.
Theo & Mina Swart
Meets fortnightly, Wednesday Night 7:00pm (rotates venue)
The Swart's small group is currently wrapping up the series 'Experiencing God.' Please contact Theo and Mina for more information.
Jeremy & Ruth Pollard
Will be meeting weekly at a rotated venue once 'My Neighbours Are Weird' course is completed, on Wednesday night 7:30pm (rotates venue). The Pollards small group consists of couples with young children who meet together as a guys group and girls group on alternate Wednesdays, getting together as families once a month.
Dennis & Barbara Kraakman
Meets Weekly, Wednesday night 7.15-9.00(ish) at Denise and Barbara's house.
Currently a group of 10 people of varying ages/cultures/personalities/talents. The group commenced in early 2009 with getting to know each other and with shared leadership then worked through and were challenged by the "Experiencing God" study. They are currently working through the 'They Like Jesus, But not the Church' Study by Dan Kimball. Contact Dennis and Barb Kraakman.
Blokes Bible Study
Meets on the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of each month, 7:30-9:30pm in the church cafe.
Blokes Bible Study is lead by Richard Henderson, this group consist of approx 7 guys in their 30s, 40s & 50s. Meeting to encourage and be accountable to one another. The normal content is to delve into the previous weeks sermon. Please contact Richard Henderson for more information.
Meat Group
Meets Weekly, Monday Nights 6:00pm at The House.
Each attendy brings some sort of meat that is cooked on a BBQ and subsiquently chowed down by the attendants. At 6:45pm Meat Group joins the church Prayer Meeting in the Orange Room before getting into their own study/discussion time in The House.
Meat Group is - A group with the aim of forming a brotherhood of Men who know how to take responsibily for there actions and throw aside the restraints / sins of apathy and omision, so that we can become active in fullfilling our duty as Christians, and change the world that we live in - bringing Gods kingdom to earth.
Guy & Gail Brooking
Meets Weekly, Monday Nights 7:30pm at James and Erin Gavins Home.
The Brooking's small group has just completed the course, Concentric Circles and is focusing on learning more about Evangelism. For more information contact Guy and Gail Brooking.
Gordon & Jan Meehan
Meets Weekly, Monday Nights 7:15pm at Sandra and Hendryk Venter's Home.
The Meehan's small group has just completed 'Experiencing God' and is now looking at doing a book study. For more information contact Gordon and Jan Meehan.
